                The PM21 controller is a low cost laser desk aimed at small laser systems. It can be used with both argon and white light lasers and is ideal for use in clubs. All functions are easy to access from the front panel ( except text which needs an external keyboard), most functions are push button controlled with a single rotary control. Thirty two effect keys can store sequences and can play back manually , automatically or audio triggered. All functions of the desk can be sequenced, colour, size, position, effects modulations etc. It offers a full range of logos, pattern generation and modulations, all of which can be mixed on the same effect key.

                By plugging in an external PC compatible keyboard scrolling text can be used, up to 32 text messages of 160 characters can be stored. The speed of scrolling is adjustable and the full range of modulations can be used. The text and all other contents of the desk are saved in memory when power is turned off .

                A built in microphone can be used to trigger the sequence mode, modulate images or added to patterns and used for oscilloscope displays. An external audio signal can be plugged in to override the internal microphone, this input is auto level adjust and will take signals from line level to power amplifier output.

                The desk can also control a 16 channel beam table and 360 degree mirror head through its data link output. This signal is easily decoded to drive actuators where they are needed. This signal can be run over long distances using DMX buffer boxes for control of remote scanning heads.

                The desk can be interfaced to most laser heads with little or no modifications. All outputs are on a single 15 way connector compatible with all desks in the PM range of controllers. The PM21 is an ideal control desk for the PM23 250mWatt/400mWatt Argon display laser (see data sheet).
