The PM22 controller is a low cost laser desk with full colour mixing and
blanking and a very large range of effects.
The desk can be programmed with up to 400 scenes each scene can have up to
255 frames. A frame can be a pattern, an effect, a single image, scrolling
text or a complete animation of many images. The pattern generator is
based on two oscillators with waveform, frequency, amplitude, phase and
sample controls. There are many effects pre-programmed some of which are
count up/ down timers, VU meter with audio response , audio modulated
cones/ boxes/ ceilings, and cones /ceilings/sinewaves with fingers. The
desk comes programmed with a 100 images that can be called up and
manipulated. Scrolling text can be entered without an external keyboard in
4 different fonts with each characters colour and height being
programmable, the number of characters before scrolling starts is
adjustable from 6 to 16.
The desk comes with many multi image animation’s, these can be
added to by downloading ILDA format graphics into the flash memory.
Individual images out of animation’s can be accessed and used to build new
animation’s.
Controllers can be linked by MIDI for multi head systems, or SMPTE to MIDI
converters allow complete shows to be taped.
Images can be digitised using the front panel encoders or a Bit Pad One
compatible digitiser can be plugged in. Each point can be individually
coloured or blanked giving AO scanning systems total control over the
image.
The PM22 can be linked to a PC to download ILDA and PM format files. Some
functions can be remotely controlled. It is possible to save and restore
data to files on the PC.
Fourteen different alignment images including the ILDA standard test
pattern are available to set up scanning heads.
